The Opportunity: 

Finatal is partnering with a strategic and high growth business looking for a commercially driven finance professional looking to make an impact in a dynamic environment. Our client, a highly acquisitive international consumer (sites) company backed by private equity, is seeking an ambitious Head of FP&A & Reporting to join their Lisbon office. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the financial strategy of a business making 10-15 acquisitions per year and drive continued growth through strategic investment projects. 

The business operates globally, a strong track record of delivering high consumer led results and continues to grow as they aim for an exit in the next 2 years. The Role: 

  • Lead FP&A processes: Oversee financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting across the business, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. 
  • Commercially Partner with Senior Stakeholders: Collaborate with the CFO, senior leadership, and cross-functional teams to support decision-making and provide actionable insights. 
  • Investment & Growth Initiatives: Play a key role in evaluating M&A opportunities, new investments, and growth projects to maximize return on capital. 
  • Reporting & Analysis: Deliver accurate and insightful financial reports and data analysis to support operational excellence, working closely with the Financial Controller. 
  • Process Ownership: Take ownership of all FP&A functions, continuously improving processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. 
  • Private Equity & Capital Raises: Support the CFO in debt and equity raises, providing financial analysis and models to attract further investment. 

The Requirements: 

  • Strong Academic Background: Degree from a top-tier university, ideally in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. 
  • Professional Qualification: ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent is highly desirable. 
  • Commercial Acumen: Proven experience in a commercially focused finance role, ideally within a private equity-backed business or highly acquisitive company. 
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of financial reporting, data analysis, and the ability to work hands-on with financial models and systems. 
  • Leadership & Initiative: Self-starter with a proactive attitude, able to manage multiple priorities, and with aspirations to take the next step towards becoming Finance Director.
