Finatal is currently partnered with a private equity-backed manufacturing and distribution business that focuses on specialised building materials that operate globally in over 15 countries. They have gone through rapid inorganic growth and have 5 business units with a portfolio of 40 SMEs. They are now looking for a Head of Infrastructure and Operations to drive the optimisation and consolidation of the IT environment and develop and implement the infra and Ops strategy whilst the business continues its M&A activity.


  • Reporting to the CIO you will be responsible for developing the infrastructure and operations strategy for the group and implementing it across the 5 business units.
  • You will communicate effectively in an international environment using your stakeholder management skills to bring the whole business along on the IT journey as the company goes on its buy-and-build strategy.
  • Grow and manage a global team of IT professionals across different countries as well as external vendors negotiating contracts and managing their performance.
  • Develop and manage the IT Infra & Ops budget optimising resource allocation to achieve cost-effectiveness.
  • Help lead the MS Dynamics 365 ERP across the group overseeing the onboarding and integration of new entities and existing systems.


  • Strong track record of developing and implementing a Global IT infrastructure & Operations strategy across a group with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Oversee the daily management of IT infrastructure and technology, including hands-on support and troubleshooting to maintain optimal performance.
  • Experience managing external vendors and service providers including negotiating contracts.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate governance and compliance ensuring the business adheres to relevant industry standards.
  • Experience with ERP MS Dynamics 365 is beneficial.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer science or a related field and relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISSP) are a plus.
