Finatal has recently partnered with a £600m t/o financial services firm that is backed by a well-known PE firm in the US. With an impressive EBITDA of £250m, the CFO is looking for a Head of Strategic Finance to bolster their finance team ahead of an impending exit.

The ideal candidate will have sell-side experience with financial models, due diligence documents, and profitability analysis, along with involvement in supporting asset disposals, business plans, and data rooms. They must have private equity exposure, be data-driven, and communicate effectively with investors. Experience in M&A is important but the role is not heavily M&A-focused. A background in Big 4 or Transaction Services is suitable, including candidates coming straight from practice. Strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Anaplan are required, with no sector bias but a preference to avoid SaaS.

The Responsibilities:

  • Build and review financial models, due diligence documents, and profitability analysis to support sell-side processes
  • Strong ability to communicate with investors and business partner with department heads
  • Support asset disposals through the preparation of business plans, offline models, and management of data rooms
  • Communicate insights and updates effectively to investors and stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development and execution of 5-year business strategies and exit processes
  • Leverage tools like Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Anaplan to deliver high-quality analysis and reporting

The Requirements:

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
  • M&A experience
  • Ideally from a Big 4 or a Top 10 firm
  • Private Equity Experience
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills
