Overview: 

Finatal is seeking an experienced and hands-on Interim Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for a Private Equity-backed multisite healthcare business based in Germany. The ideal candidate will have a robust technical background, extensive experience within the healthcare sector, and a proven track record in Private Equity-owned businesses. This role demands a high-level strategic vision combined with the ability to engage deeply with development teams and IT operations. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Strategic Leadership: 

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with business goals and objectives. 
  • Lead the consolidation of the IT environment post-acquisition, ensuring seamless integration and standardization across all sites. 
  • Oversee the transition to a cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and security. 

Technical Oversight: 

  • Act as a hands-on leader, working closely with development teams and IT operations to drive technical excellence and innovation. 
  • Provide guidance and support in the development, enhancement, and maintenance of healthcare software solutions. 
  • Ensure the reliability, security, and performance of IT systems and infrastructure. 

Cybersecurity: 

  • Lead and manage cybersecurity projects and teams, ensuring robust protection of sensitive healthcare data. 
  • Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies and practices across the organization. 

Operational Management: 

  • Oversee day-to-day IT operations, ensuring high availability and performance of systems. 
  • Manage IT budgets, resources, and vendors effectively to optimize operational efficiency. 
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the IT department. 

Stakeholder Engagement: 

  • Collaborate with executive leadership, board members, and Private Equity partners to communicate IT strategies, progress, and outcomes. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure IT alignment with business needs. 

Team Leadership: 

  • Mentor and develop IT staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. 
  • Drive talent acquisition, retention, and professional development within the IT department. 

Qualifications: 

  • Proven experience as a CTO or similar senior IT leadership role within the healthcare (multisite) sector. 
  • Strong background in Private Equity-backed businesses with a focus on healthcare. 
  • Demonstrated expertise in IT consolidation and cloud migration projects. 
  • In-depth knowledge of software development, healthcare IT systems, and cybersecurity best practices. 
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to dive into technical details and support development teams. 
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Fluent in German and English.
