About the Role:
Our client, a PE-backed manufacturing business based in Nottinghamshire, is seeking an experienced Interim CIO for a 3-month contract starting in September. This dynamic role requires an individual with a robust IT background, exceptional coaching skills, and a strategic mindset to support a critical transformation period within the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Coaching and Upskilling the Current Head of IT:
- Provide mentorship and hands-on coaching to the current Head of IT.
- Develop and implement upskilling programs to enhance technical and leadership capabilities.
- Ensure the IT team is well-prepared to meet future technological demands.
Cloud Migration:
- Lead the transition from on-premises infrastructure to Azure cloud services.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive migration plan, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align cloud strategy with business objectives.
IT and Vendor Assessment:
- Conduct a thorough review of the existing IT landscape and outsourced providers.
- Identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains.
- Provide strategic recommendations to optimize IT operations and vendor performance.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a CIO or senior IT leadership role within a manufacturing or similar industry.
- Strong expertise in cloud technologies, specifically Azure.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and develop IT leaders.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
