A £50m turnover private equity-backed insurance business is seeking an Interim Exit Support Lead to support the CFO and investors through an upcoming exit process. The role will focus on preparing the business for sale by producing robust financial analysis, building transaction-ready information, and ensuring the finance function can effectively support external advisors throughout the process.
Financial due diligence will be led by external advisors; therefore, the successful candidate will play a key role internally in preparing the financial data, supporting analysis, and ensuring the business is ready to respond to buyer and advisor requests efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the CFO in preparing the business for a potential exit process
- Produce detailed financial analysis to support the sale narrative, including revenue, margin, and profitability trends
- Prepare and organise financial information required for the data room and external advisors
- Ensure financial data is accurate, consistent, and transaction-ready ahead of the diligence process
- Support the preparation of analysis around adjusted EBITDA, revenue streams, and cost drivers
- Act as the internal finance lead supporting external due diligence providers by supplying data and responding to queries
- Work closely with the finance team to improve the quality and accessibility of financial reporting for the transaction process
- Assist with ad hoc financial analysis requested by the CFO, PE investors, or transaction advisors during the sale process
Candidate Profile
- Background in Transaction Services within practice (Big 4 or mid-tier advisory firm)
- Strong experience performing financial analysis in support of transactions or deals
- Experience supporting sell-side processes or private equity-backed businesses is highly desirable
- Prior exposure to the insurance or broader financial services sector preferred
- Highly analytical with strong Excel and financial modelling capability
- Comfortable working independently and engaging with senior stakeholders in a PE-backed environment
