Are you a strategic and commercially focused Finance Business Partner with a track record of driving profitability improvements? We are seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to lead a high-impact Profitability Improvement Project for a private equity-backed SaaS client based in Brighton. This interim role is for an initial 3-month period, with the possibility of extension, and offers the opportunity to influence key financial and operational decisions in a fast-growing SaaS environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Profitability Analysis and Insights: Conduct deep financial analysis across business units to understand cost structures, revenue drivers, and margin performance, with the goal of identifying areas for profit optimization.
· Cost and Pricing Strategy: Partner with product, sales, and operational teams to assess pricing strategies, optimise revenue streams, and recommend changes that enhance gross margins.
· Scenario Modeling and Forecasting: Develop financial models to simulate various scenarios and evaluate the potential impacts of cost-saving initiatives, pricing adjustments, and other profitability levers on business performance.
· Benchmarking and KPI Development: Establish profitability benchmarks and key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with the company’s goals. Track and report on these KPIs to support ongoing performance evaluation.
· Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with senior management and private equity stakeholders, delivering insights and recommendations that support strategic decision-making.
· Process Improvement: Identify and implement financial and operational process improvements to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and ensure efficient use of resources.
Requirements:
· Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent, with significant experience in a Finance Business Partner or similar role within a SaaS, technology, or subscription-based business.
· Project-Based Profitability Experience: Proven track record of working on profitability improvement initiatives, ideally within a private equity-backed or fast-growing SaaS environment.
· Analytical and Strategic Mindset: Strong financial analysis and modeling skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
· Commercial Acumen: Deep understanding of SaaS metrics, revenue recognition, and cost structures, as well as experience influencing cross-functional teams to drive profitability.
· Adaptable and Collaborative: Willingness to be on-site in the Brighton office 4 days per week, working closely with diverse teams in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
