Finatal is exclusively partnered with a private equity-backed eCommerce business entering a pivotal phase of transformation following a recent investment. With strong revenue growth and ambitious scaling plans, the business is looking to bring in a Finance Business Partner to support strategic decision-making and deliver commercial insight during a period of operational change.
Role Overview
Reporting to the CFO and working closely with senior leadership across marketing, operations, and digital, you’ll act as the bridge between finance and the business, helping drive performance and support value creation.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting as a strategic finance partner to commercial teams (e.g. marketing, digital, logistics)
- Driving financial planning & analysis (FP&A), budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Delivering data-driven insights on customer acquisition cost (CAC), LTV, margin performance, and stock optimisation
- Supporting the development of dashboards, KPIs, and reporting packs for internal and board-level stakeholders
- Providing scenario modelling and investment appraisal support across key growth initiatives (e.g. new channel launches, international expansion)
- Collaborating with the finance team on month-end reporting and bridging variance analysis to action plans
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified accountant (CIMA / ACA / ACCA) with a strong FP&A or commercial finance background
- Experience in eCommerce, D2C, or digital retail environments
- Understanding of key eCommerce metrics and operational levers (conversion rates, ROAS, returns, fulfilment cost)
- Confident in turning numbers into narrative – able to challenge, influence, and communicate across functions
- Exposure to private equity-backed businesses and an appreciation for investor-level reporting is a plus
- Thrives in fast-paced, agile environments where priorities can shift rapidly
