With a strong market presence and ambitious growth plans, they require an experienced Interim Finance Consultant to refine and enhance their financial operations, reporting, and controls to ensure a smooth transition to a private equity-backed environment.
The Role
As the Interim Finance Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in professionalising the finance function, ensuring it is robust, efficient, and investment-ready. Working closely with senior leadership, you will implement best practices, improve reporting standards, and enhance financial controls to align with investor expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and refine financial processes, policies, and controls to meet investor and regulatory requirements.
- Enhance financial reporting frameworks, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clarity in management accounts and forecasts.
- Improve cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning to support strategic decision-making.
- Assist in preparing financial documentation for potential investors, including due diligence materials.
- Identify and implement automation and efficiency improvements within the finance function.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong experience in interim finance roles.
- Proven track record in finance transformation, professionalisation, or pre-deal preparation within an SME or private equity environment.
- Experience in the IT Managed Services or technology sector is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of investor expectations, due diligence, and financial governance.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders and external investors.
