Finatal is working with a high-growth SaaS business recently backed by a leading private equity firm. With an ambitious post-deal professionalisation strategy following their acquisition by a mid-market fund, this is a pivotal opportunity to contribute to the company’s financial transformation and operational excellence in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Role Overview

As the Financial Controller, you will play a critical role in leading financial controls, reporting, and process improvements to drive efficiency and scalability. Reporting to the CFO, you will support financial strategy, private equity reporting requirements, and post-acquisition integration.

Key Responsibilities

· Oversee financial control, ensuring robust processes and systems are in place to support scalable growth.

· Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to drive efficiency and compliance.

· Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

· Work closely with senior leadership to enhance financial transparency and performance tracking.

· Support M&A integration by aligning financial reporting, systems, and operational processes.

· Prepare investor and board reports, ensuring clear insights into financial performance and key metrics.

· Drive working capital optimization and cash flow management in line with business objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

· ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification (preferred).

· Proven track record as a Financial Controller within a high-growth or PE-backed SaaS business.

· Strong technical accounting knowledge with experience in financial process improvement.

· Experience with post-deal integration and finance function professionalisation.

· Advanced proficiency in financial systems, ERP tools, and Excel.

· Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
