Role Overview: Finatal is seeking an experienced Interim Finance Controller to lead our finance team during a pivotal phase in our business cycle. The successful candidate will take charge of the controllership function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, preparing for audits, and maintaining compliance with statutory requirements. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and refine our finance operations while mentoring and developing a junior team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the controllership function, managing day-to-day financial operations and ensuring accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
- Prepare the company for audits, liaising with external auditors and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Drive improvements in financial processes and controls, identifying areas for efficiency gains and implementing best practices.
- Mentor and train junior finance staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to support strategic initiatives and drive business growth.
Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification is essential.
- Proven experience in a Finance Controller or similar role within a Private Equity-backed or high-growth business.
- Strong technical accounting skills, with a thorough understanding of statutory reporting requirements.
