Finatal is currently partnered with a professional services business who is seeking an interim Finance Director to help lead them throughout a period of change. The company are currently undergoing a large transformation project, focusing on professionalisation of the finance function and the implementation of a new ERP system.

Role Overview:

This is a hands-on position that will suit someone who has a proven track record within the professional services sector. They must be confident to bring about change autonomously and be a confident self-starter who is looking to work alongside some very impressive operators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to drive profitability and growth.
  • Professionalise and streamline existing financial controls.
  • Help to lead the implementation of a new ERP system.
  • Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Oversee cash flow management, ensuring adequate liquidity for operational needs and strategic investments.
  • Maintain financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the year-end financial close process, including preparation of financial statements and liaising with auditors.
  • Coordinate audit engagements, ensuring timely completion and resolution of audit queries.
  • Review accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct financial due diligence for potential acquisitions, assessing financial risks and opportunities.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Proven experience in senior financial leadership role.
  • Has exposure to a systems implementation
  • Extensive knowledge of financial management principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial due diligence, acquisitions, and lease negotiations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic insights.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving performance and achieving business objectives.
  • Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
