About the role:
Finatal is partnered with a private equity-backed construction business poised for a strategic exit. As they navigate this critical phase, they are seeking an experienced Finance Director to lead their financial operations and ensure a smooth and successful exit process. As Finance Director, you will be at the forefront of their exit strategy, providing financial leadership and guidance & you will work closely with senior management, private equity partners, and other stakeholders to prepare the business for sale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the financial aspects of the exit strategy, including financial planning, forecasting, and reporting.
- Optimize the company’s financial performance to maximize value in preparation for the sale.
- Manage the due diligence process, working closely with external advisors and potential buyers.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and transparency.
- Collaborate with senior management and private equity partners to align financial strategies with business objectives.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring the company is well-positioned for a successful exit.
- Provide strategic financial advice to the board and other stakeholders.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Finance Director or in a senior financial leadership role, ideally within a private equity-backed business.
- Strong track record of managing exit processes and preparing businesses for sale.
- Expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, with a deep understanding of the construction industry.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a hybrid model, with 2 days per week in the office.
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent accounting qualification preferred.
