About the Company: Finatal is partnering with a leading private equity-backed education business that is undergoing significant transformation. As part of their growth and professionalisation strategy, they are looking to enhance their finance function and are seeking an experienced Interim Financial Accountant to join their team for a 6-month project.
Role Overview: As the Interim Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the professionalisation of the finance function. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, assisting with the implementation of best practices, and contributing to the overall financial strategy of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Assist in the implementation of new financial processes and controls to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments.
- Provide accurate and timely financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the finance team to enhance financial reporting systems and procedures.
- Liaise with external auditors to facilitate the audit process.
- Revie and streamline the revenue recognition process.
- Contribute to various finance projects as required, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall objectives.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with relevant post-qualification experience. ACA is highly preferred.
- Proven experience as a Financial Accountant, ideally within a private equity-backed or education environment.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting standards, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
