Role Overview
As a Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in analysing financial data, supporting acquisitions, and driving strategic decision-making. You will be responsible for financial modelling, KPI analysis, and investment appraisals to ensure the business continues its strong growth trajectory.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Analysis & Reporting:Â Provide detailed financial analysis, tracking key business performance indicators and identifying trends across multiple sites.
- Financial Modelling:Â Develop and maintain detailed financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, scenario analysis, and investment decisions.
- M&A Support: Assist with financial due diligence, investment appraisals, and post-acquisition integration.
- Budgeting & Forecasting:Â Work closely with senior finance and operational teams to develop robust financial models, forecasts, and scenario analysis.
- KPI Development:Â Design and monitor key performance metrics to assess business health and operational efficiency.
- Commercial Insights:Â Provide actionable insights to senior management to optimize revenue, margins, and cost efficiency across the retail portfolio.
- Stakeholder Engagement:Â Work closely with private equity investors, finance teams, and operational leads to drive data-driven decision-making.
- Process Improvement:Â Identify opportunities to enhance financial reporting, automation, and data visualization.
Qualifications and Experience
- ACA, CFA, or CIMA qualification (preferred).
- Strong financial modelling skills and proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and accounting/ERP systems. Exposure to M&A or investment analysis is highly desirable.
- A data-driven problem solver with excellent attention to detail and a strong commercial understanding.
- Ability to translate complex financial data into clear insights for senior management and non-financial stakeholders.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, results-driven approach, comfortable working in a fast-paced, acquisitive environment.
- Minimum 2 years experience in investment banking or private equity or, 2 years FP&A/transaction services/FDD experience
