Finatal is partnering with a rapidly-scaling, private equity-backed SaaS company undergoing a period of significant transformation as they prepare for an upcoming exit. They are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to lead the finance function during this critical phase. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing robust financial reporting and processes, while managing a team of two. This role demands a ‘safe pair of hands’ with exceptional leadership qualities to ensure stability and guide the team through this period of change. You will have the invaluable support of an industry-leading CFO with extensive experience in successfully executing multiple private equity exits.
To be successful you must have SME experience and have worked within a business with a recurring revenue model.
Key Responsibilities
- Improve month end reporting.
- Oversee and enhance financial controls, processes, and systems to support scalability.
- Manage the finance team, providing leadership and support to ensure high performance.
- Support the preparation of statutory accounts in line with UK GAAP
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment on budget forecasts, financial planning, and cash flow management.
- Assist with audits, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Skills & Experience Required
- ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent.
- Strong technical accounting skills, including statutory reporting and consolidations.
- Prior experience in a Private Equity-backed business is highly desirable.
