Role Overview:

As the Financial Controller, you will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function, ensuring robust financial control and delivering insights that drive business performance. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will work closely with the senior leadership team and private equity stakeholders to support strategic decision-making and value creation.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead the finance function, including oversight of management accounts, budgeting, and forecasting processes.

· Implement and maintain robust financial controls and reporting systems to ensure accuracy and compliance.

· Produce high-quality, timely financial reports for the board and private equity investors.

· Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury processes to support the business’s growth strategy.

· Partner with operational teams to drive efficiency and profitability improvements across the business.

· Support M&A activities, integration of acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.

· Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience:

· Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).

· Proven experience as a Financial Controller in a private equity-backed or high-growth business, ideally within the retail sector.

· Strong technical accounting knowledge, with a thorough understanding of UK GAAP/IFRS.

· Demonstrated ability to deliver under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

· Hands-on experience in cash flow management, forecasting, and financial analysis.

· Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).

· Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
