Finatal is partnering with a rapidly growing, Private Equity-backed retail business in London. We’re looking for an Interim Financial Controller to oversee financial operations across multiple sites, drive strategic initiatives, and support the company’s growth.
This is a hands-on role for a finance leader with experience in multi-site operations within ecommerce or retail, who can help implement scalable financial systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day financial operations and ensure accurate month-end reporting across multiple sites
- Develop and refine financial controls, processes, and systems to support growth
- Produce timely management accounts and provide financial insights to senior leadership
- Lead cash flow management, working capital optimisation, and banking relationships
- Oversee statutory accounts preparation and liaise with auditors
- Implement finance systems to support scalability across locations
- Lead budgeting processes and provide financial insights for decision-making
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and best practices
Skills & Experience:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller in multi-site ecommerce or retail businesses
- Experience in Private Equity-backed environments is highly desirable
- Strong technical accounting, cash flow management, and treasury skills
- Track record in implementing finance systems in multi-site, high-growth businesses
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Must be willing to work in the office 3 days a week (hybrid working model)
