We are supporting a fast-growing, professional services group with the appointment of an interim Financial Controller to support the integration of newly acquired entities into the group finance structure.
Backed by private investment and pursuing an active acquisition strategy, the business has expanded rapidly across multiple jurisdictions. As a result, the finance function is undertaking a program of integration to align newly acquired businesses with group reporting, controls, and financial processes.
The successful candidate will play a key role in integrating acquired entities into the group structure, ensuring consistency in financial reporting, improving controls, and supporting the wider finance transformation program.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the financial integration of newly acquired entities into the group finance structure
- Align acquired businesses with group accounting policies, reporting standards, and financial controls
- Support the transition of local finance processes into the group reporting framework
- Oversee the standardisation of month-end close processes across newly integrated entities
- Ensure balance sheet integrity and oversee reconciliation processes during integration
- Support consolidation processes and ensure accurate reporting of newly integrated entities
- Partner with regional finance teams to embed group processes and governance
- Work closely with the M&A and leadership teams to support post-acquisition integration activities
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls, and reporting consistency across the group
- Support ad hoc projects relating to finance transformation and organisational scaling
Requirements
- ACA / ACCA qualified with strong financial control and reporting experience
- Proven experience operating as a Financial Controller or senior finance lead within mid-to-large organisations
- Experience supporting post-acquisition integration or finance transformation initiatives
- Background within professional services, consulting, or other multi-entity environments is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of group reporting, financial controls, and consolidation processes
- Hands-on approach with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, acquisitive environment
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across international teams
