Our client is a dynamic SaaS business recently acquired by Private Equity in a secondary buyout. With a commitment to growth and innovation, they are seeking an Interim Financial Controller to lead the professionalization of their finance function. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company poised for rapid expansion and make a significant impact.

Role Overview:

As the Interim Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing financial operations, reporting, and strategy within the organization. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership to implement best practices, streamline processes, and drive financial performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the professionalization of the finance function, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in all financial operations.
  • Develop and implement robust financial reporting systems and processes to provide timely, accurate insights to stakeholders.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, financial statements, and variance analysis.
  • Oversee all matters surrounding statutory reporting and audit.
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets and mitigate financial risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial performance and support business objectives.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to finance team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA qualification with extensive experience in finance leadership roles.
  • Proven track record in Private Equity-backed environments, with expertise in leading finance professionalization initiatives.
  • Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP. European GAAPs are beneficial too.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
