We’re working with a private equity–backed professional services agency with revenues of c.£75 million, backed by a leading lower mid-market fund. The business has grown rapidly and is pursuing a buy-and-build strategy with further acquisitions on the horizon. To support this next phase, they are seeking an Interim FP&A Analyst to help deliver the upcoming budget cycle, refine forecasting processes, and build out financial models to support integration and growth initiatives.
The Role:
This is an excellent opportunity for someone making their second move in industry or coming straight from practice with strong analytical skills. You’ll work closely with the Head of FP&A and CFO to provide clear, insightful analysis during a pivotal period for the group.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the delivery of the annual budget and reforecasting cycles
- Building, maintaining, and improving financial models to support decision-making and acquisitions
- Providing variance analysis and commentary on performance vs budget/forecast
- Assisting in the development of KPI dashboards and management reporting packs
- Partnering with finance and operational teams to gather data and ensure accurate inputs for forecasting
- Contributing to investor reporting requirements as the group executes its buy-and-build strategy
About You:
You’ll be a bright, motivated finance professional with strong analytical capability and the ambition to learn in a fast-paced, private equity–backed environment.
Ideal background:
- Qualified or finalist accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), Big 4/Top 10 trained advantageous
- Early career experience in FP&A, management accounting, or transaction services
- Strong Excel and financial modelling skills, comfortable manipulating large data sets
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to present insights clearly and concisely
- Experience within a professional services, consulting, or people-based business an advantage but not essential
- Collaborative, hands-on, and eager to support both the finance team and wider business
