The Business:
Our client is a Private Equity-backed professional services group generating c.£300m in revenue. With ambitious growth plans and a focus on operational excellence, they are seeking an Interim Group Financial Controller to strengthen the finance function during a critical stage in their journey.
The Role:
Reporting to the CFO, you will take ownership of the group financial control environment, ensuring robust governance, timely reporting, and statutory compliance. You will lead the financial accounting and consolidation processes across multiple entities, working closely with senior leadership and external advisors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of group financial control, including month-end close, consolidations, and statutory accounts.
- Ensure compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS and group reporting requirements.
- Manage external audit process and liaise with advisors.
- Lead and develop the finance team to deliver accurate, timely reporting.
- Drive process improvements and strengthen financial controls.
- Support the CFO on investor reporting and PE requirements.
Candidate Profile:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA) with strong technical background.
- Experience as Group FC or equivalent in a PE-backed or complex multi-entity business.
- Proven track record of delivering consolidations and statutory reporting.
- Strong technical knowledge (UK GAAP/IFRS) and hands-on approach.
- Able to operate in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment.
