We are supporting a rapidly growing clean energy business with the appointment of an interim Group Management Accountant to strengthen the finance function during a period of expansion.

The business operates across multiple energy assets and infrastructure projects, delivering sustainable energy solutions to commercial and industrial customers. With strong backing and continued investment into new projects, the organisation is scaling its operations and requires enhanced financial reporting and control at a group level.

This role has been created to support increased reporting requirements, improve the month-end close process, and ensure accurate and timely financial information across a multi-entity structure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and consolidate monthly management accounts across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Support the month-end close process, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations
  • Ensure balance sheet integrity through robust review and reconciliation processes
  • Assist with group consolidations and intercompany accounting
  • Provide variance analysis and insightful commentary on financial performance
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes across the group
  • Work closely with operational teams to improve cost visibility and financial understanding
  • Assist with the development and improvement of financial reporting processes and systems
  • Support audit processes and preparation of statutory accounts where required
  • Contribute to ongoing finance transformation and process improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
  • Experience operating in a multi-entity or group environment
  • Background within energy, infrastructure, or asset-heavy businesses is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of month-end processes, balance sheet controls, and financial reporting
  • Experience with group consolidations and intercompany accounting
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented approach with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong Excel skills and experience working with financial systems
  • Good stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across finance and operational teams
  • Available immediately or at short notice
