About Us: My client is a dynamic and rapidly growing wealth management consolidator, backed by leading private equity investors. They specialize in acquiring and integrating high-quality wealth management firms, creating a robust platform that delivers exceptional value to their clients. As they continue to expand, they are seeking an experienced and strategic Interim Head of FP&A to join their team and lead their financial planning and analysis functions. 

Role Overview: As the Interim Head of FP&A, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing their financial reporting and analysis capabilities. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be responsible for building and professionalizing their FP&A function to support their growth strategy. This is a high-impact role that requires a deep understanding of the wealth management/investment management industry, coupled with a strong background in financial planning, analysis, and reporting. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • FP&A Leadership: Lead the development and implementation of a best-in-class FP&A function, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals. 
  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual performance analyses. 
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and manage comprehensive budgeting and forecasting processes to provide clear visibility into future financial performance. 
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with senior leadership and business unit heads to provide insightful financial analysis and decision support. 
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to long-term strategic planning initiatives, including M&A activities, by providing financial modelling and scenario analysis. 
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the FP&A function. 
  • Team Development: Build and mentor a high-performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. 

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior FP&A role within the wealth management or investment management industry. 
  • Education: ACA/ACCA/CIMA-Qualified 
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and reporting tools. Experience with Forecasting/Reporting tools (TM1, Vena, Anaplan etc.) is massively beneficial too. 
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail. 
  • Leadership: Proven leadership skills with the ability to build and inspire a team. 
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders. 
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
