Finatal are supporting a £300m-turnover professional services group backed by a highly respected private equity fund, in their search for an Interim Head of FP&A. The business is entering its next stage of growth following a period of strong organic expansion and multiple acquisitions.

The Role:
Reporting to the Group CFO, you will lead the FP&A function through a period of transition — enhancing financial planning, performance analysis, and decision support across the group. This role will play a pivotal part in delivering improved insight, forecasting accuracy, and commercial challenge to the senior leadership team and investors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes across multiple entities
  • Develop and refine the group’s reporting and KPI framework to drive actionable insight
  • Partner with divisional MDs and finance leads to provide commercial analysis and strategic support
  • Build a robust performance review cycle and standardised reporting packs for both management and PE investors
  • Enhance cashflow forecasting and scenario modelling to support ongoing M&A and integration
  • Implement improved financial modelling tools and reporting processes
  • Mentor and upskill the FP&A and commercial finance team

The Candidate:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with extensive FP&A experience in private equity-backed or high-growth professional services environments
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to challenge and influence at board level
  • Proven success in improving planning and analysis processes at group level
  • Experience of M&A integration, systems implementation, and investor reporting
  • Hands-on, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced,
