Finatal is currently partnered with a growing IT services company that is backed by a reputable private equity firm. The company is at a critical phase, focused on scaling its operations and optimizing financial controls to support sustained growth. This role offers an opportunity to be part of a dynamic organization in a senior role. 

Role Overview 

This role will be responsible for leading the Financial Reporting team, ensuring the accurate and timely issuance of monthly results, and working with the transformation team to design and implement global processes. The Head of Reporting and Controls is a senior position in the team, providing leadership and development of the operational finance team, leading on external auditing and annual financial statement, with a focus on improving controls, processes and systems. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Business Partner the operational finance and commercial finance teams, providing insight and challenge to support in the delivery of operational objectives 
  • Lead the finance team and ensure management information provided is accurate and insightful and providing effective challenge and scrutiny. 
  • Significantly improve the month-end close process and guiding the team to success. 
  • Lead on the full end to end audit process and reviewing and implementing effective financial controls. 
  • Play a key role in the business and deputise for the Group Financial Controller where required.

  • Qualifications and Experience: 
  • ACA, ACCA qualified (or equivalent) 
  • Significant previous experience in a senior leadership role within finance (minimum 4 year). 
  • Up to date knowledge of current UK accounting standards and requirements. 
  • Excellent people management skills and the ability to inspire and influence those around you. 
  • Confident, dynamic, and supportive leader and team player, with a proven record for developing others. 
  • IT literate and willing to champion use of technology in service delivery. 
  • Understand change management and able to bring together differing cultures to provide an environment for the creation of new and sustainable organisational models. 
  • A prior knowledge or background in technology would be desirable.
