About the role:
Finatal is working with a dynamic technology business in the Northwest, currently undergoing a significant IFRS conversion. As they navigate this complex transition, they are seeking an experienced IFRS Conversion Consultant to join their team on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the IFRS conversion project, providing expert guidance and support throughout the process.
- Analyse existing financial reporting practices and identify areas of non-compliance with IFRS.
- Develop and implement IFRS-compliant financial reporting processes, policies, and procedures.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, including finance, accounting, and senior management, to ensure alignment and understanding of IFRS requirements.
- Prepare and deliver training sessions to internal teams on IFRS standards and their application.
- Assist in the preparation of IFRS-compliant financial statements and disclosures.
- Provide ongoing support during the post-conversion period to ensure compliance and address any emerging issues.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in IFRS conversion projects, ideally within the technology sector.
- Strong understanding of IFRS standards and their practical application.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of the conversion process.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work on-site 4 days per week in the Northwest.
- ACA, ACCA, or equivalent accounting qualification preferred.
