Role Overview:
As the Management Accountant, you will be a key player in the finance team, responsible for delivering accurate financial information and insights that will directly influence the company’s strategic decisions. You will take ownership of the management accounts, lead budgeting and forecasting processes, and provide critical analysis to support operational and investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: You will prepare and present monthly management accounts, including detailed profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement, delivering insights that inform business strategy.
- Cost Management: Actively monitor and manage costs across the business to ensure financial efficiency and alignment with company objectives.
- Investment Appraisal: Play a crucial role in evaluating potential investments and new business opportunities, using your financial modelling skills to provide robust analysis.
- Compliance and Controls: Ensure all financial practices are in compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements, maintaining a strong control environment.
- Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting efficiency, driving best practices within the finance team.
Qualifications:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent
- Proven experience in management accounting within a PE-backed organisation
- Ability to thrive in fast paces dynamic environment associated with private equity
- Detail oriented mindset and ability to critically assess
- Excellent communication skills to present financial information clearly
