Role Overview:
The Management Accountant will be an essential member of the finance team, focusing on the preparation and analysis of financial information to support management decision-making. This role involves managing budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities across multiple sites, contributing to the company’s financial strategy and operations during this interim period.
Key Responsibilities:
Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts, providing detailed analysis and insights to support strategic planning.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management.
Cost Management: Analyze and monitor cost structures, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements across various business operations.
Performance Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to assess business performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Cash Flow Management: Assist in managing cash flow planning, ensuring the availability of funds for operational and strategic needs.
Business Partnering: Work closely with department heads and site managers to provide financial guidance and support decision-making processes.
Compliance: Ensure financial practices and reports comply with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
Qualifications and Experience:
Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent). CIMA preferred.
Experience in private equity or a multi-site business environment is highly desirable.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Proficiency in financial management software and ERP systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
A proactive and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
