Finatal is currently partnered with a leading holiday comparison site, backed by a reputable midmarket private and Plc. This digital marketing site is experiencing rapid growth and transformation, the business goes through a strategic review & possible transaction.
Role Overview:
They are Looking for someone who can be a right hand person to the CFO, with experience across both operational finance and commercial finance/business partnering. Hybrid working, but the ability to be in the Leeds HQ 1 day a week and needs to be able and happy to roll sleeves up and share workload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management, review & oversight of operational finance – month end/management accounts, transactional, cashflows, capex, plc group reporting
- Improvement of reporting & month end processes for accuracy, timeliness, risk & efficiency
- Developing a detailed understanding of the business model and the underlying commercial factors be able to interpret and interrogate performance and spot trends and anomalies
- Mentoring & development of the 2 management accountants
- Improvement of monthly business partnering reviews – monthly performance vs budget, forecasting, KPI pack
- Running forecasting model scenarios
Qualifications:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Good mentoring/coaching skills
- Commercial mindset/focus when reviewing data
- Used to running KPI’s/trend analysis
- Advanced user of Microsoft Excel
- Proven ability to work with and analyse large amounts of numerical data
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work to tight deadlines
- Ability to manage multiple projects/ support different areas simultaneously
- A real focus on finance being a support function to the wider business and therefore deliver an excellent “customer experience”
- FDD experience would be welcome.
