Role Overview:
The Technical Accountant will play a pivotal role in the finance team, focusing on technical accounting issues, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and contributing to the financial strategy of the business. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical accounting skills who can manage complex financial reporting and analysis during this interim period.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS/UK GAAP). Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts.
Technical Accounting Issues: Address technical accounting issues as they arise, providing guidance on complex accounting matters, including revenue recognition, leases, and financial instruments.
Support Audits: Collaborate with external auditors during the audit process, providing the necessary documentation and explanations to facilitate a smooth audit.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness across the finance function.
Project Support: Provide technical accounting support for special projects and strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
Qualifications and Experience:
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). ACA preferred.
Experience in private equity is highly desired.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
Proficiency in financial management software and ERP systems.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively to stakeholders
