Finatal is currently working with a leading SaaS company, backed by tier-1 private equity, committed to innovation and excellence in the software industry. Currently, they are navigating a challenging audit period and require a highly skilled Technical Accountant to join their team. This role is crucial for supporting the business through audit and year-end processes, reviewing and implementing new financial processes, and ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.

Role Overview:

The Technical Accountant will play a critical role in addressing audit issues from previous periods and steering the finance function back on track. You will provide expert technical accounting support, manage the audit process, and implement robust financial controls and procedures. This role demands a highly experienced accountant with a strong background in SaaS and private equity-backed environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the audit process, addressing issues from previous audits and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of audit requirements.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Resolve any audit findings from previous periods and implement necessary improvements.
  • Conduct a thorough review of current financial processes and identify areas for enhancement.
  • Develop and implement robust financial controls and procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Ensure the finance function operates efficiently, aligning with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical accounting support and guidance to the finance team.
  • Ensure accurate accounting for complex transactions and compliance with relevant standards.

Qualifications:

  • Accounting qualified. ACA/CA preferred.
  • Experience in working within PE environment preferred.
  • Prior experience in SaaS is necessary.
