Role Overview
A highly regarded hospitality business, backed by a leading private equity house, is seeking an Interim Year-End Accountant to support them through their year-end process and external audit. Following a significant transformation last year and recent strategic input from commercial consultants, the business is now focused on ensuring a seamless financial close.
The Role
- Lead the year-end accounting process, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Manage external audit preparation, liaising with auditors and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and review statutory accounts in line with UK GAAP/IFRS.
- Identify and resolve accounting issues and discrepancies.
- Work closely with the finance team, PE investors, and senior leadership.
About You
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong technical expertise.
- Proven experience in year-end accounting and audit preparation.
- Background in PE-backed or fast-paced businesses, ideally in hospitality.
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable in a transformation setting.
