Finatal is working with a well-established private equity firm focused on investing in UK-based lower mid-market businesses. The team has a strong track record of supporting ambitious management teams and delivering long-term, sustainable growth across a range of sectors.

The firm is looking to hire an Investment Associate/Manager to join its London office. This is a genuinely broad role, offering full exposure across sourcing, execution, and portfolio support. It’s well suited to someone who enjoys working in a hands-on, entrepreneurial environment and wants to build a career in private equity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate new investment opportunities, including market research and origination outreach
  • Take ownership of financial modelling, valuation, and transaction analysis
  • Manage key workstreams across commercial and financial due diligence
  • Work directly with portfolio company management teams on strategic and operational initiatives
  • Support internal reporting, investment committee materials, and fund-level projects

Candidate Requirements:

  • 3–5 years’ experience in investment banking or transaction services
  • Demonstrable experience working on lower mid-market transactions
  • Strong technical capability in financial modelling and due diligence
  • Excellent communication skills and a confident, credible presence with senior stakeholders
  • Highly motivated, with sound judgement and a proactive mindset

This is an opportunity to join a respected team with a strong investment track record, and to take on meaningful responsibility across the full deal lifecycle from day one.
