Finatal is partnering with a leading European mid-market private credit fund that provides flexible debt and structured capital solutions to growth-oriented businesses. The fund has a strong track record of supporting acquisitions, growth initiatives, and recapitalisations through tailored financing solutions.
They are looking for an Investment Associate for their Private Credit team. This role is ideal for a professional eager to develop a career in private credit, gain exposure to the full investment lifecycle, and contribute directly to sourcing, executing, and managing transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support origination and execution of private credit investments, including direct lending and sponsor-led transactions.
- Conduct financial modelling, credit analysis, and assist in structuring debt and hybrid instruments (senior, unitranche, mezzanine, preferred equity).
- Coordinate due diligence processes with advisors, internal teams, and management.
- Assist in preparing investment memos and materials for the investment committee.
- Monitor portfolio performance, including covenant compliance, risk metrics, and engagement with management teams.
- Contribute to internal processes, research, and reporting.
Candidate Requirements
- 2-5 years’ experience in investment banking, leveraged finance, private credit, or structured finance, ideally with mid-market transaction exposure.
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, with an understanding of credit assessment and transaction structuring.
- Comfortable working with sponsors, management teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Highly motivated, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented with a willingness to learn and develop in a collaborative environment.
