Our client, a private equity-backed medical services provider, is looking for an IT Infrastructure Manager to oversee an IT infrastructure engineering team. The role involves managing enterprise-class infrastructure and systems, ensuring their reliability, security, and performance.

Role Overview

This role requires strong technical skills to support, maintain, upgrade, and operate complex IT systems. You will also be responsible for managing a systems engineering team against set KPIs, engaging in project management, and leading the deployment, configuration and maintenance of a variety of technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee enterprise-class IT infrastructure, including servers, VOIP systems, PCs, and networking. Ensuring high availability and compliance.
  • Maintain and optimise software and hardware across the organisation.
  • Manage enterprise backup solutions and uphold stringent data protection standards.
  • Maintain and update Python scripts for API integrations.
  • Ensure robust security controls and compliance with industry standards. Leverage remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools to enhance automation and alerting.
  • Provide out-of-hours support for critical emergencies and planned maintenance.
  • Maintain VMware infrastructure, including patching, upgrades, and cluster management.
  • Work with Layer 3 switching and advanced network configurations.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of on-premise and SaaS solutions. Manage and optimise Office 365 environments, whilst also maintaining strong supplier relationships for third-party software and cloud services.
  • Administer and maintain a large Active Directory with Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
  • Manage and enhance SD-WAN technology and VPN infrastructure.
  • Drive security best practices in collaboration with internal IT teams and third-party vendors. Conduct annual penetration tests and continuously improve security measures.
