The Role

Finatal is currently partnered with a large-cap consumer services business who has recently been part of a secondary buy-out, and are looking to grow exponentially in the coming five years. This is a very exciting opportunity for those looking to gain hands-on experience from working in a lean and dynamic M&A team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Directing and supervising the end-to-end process of mergers and acquisitions to ensure seamless execution.
  • Leading efforts to identify and initiate new acquisition opportunities to support strategic growth.
  • Coordinating and managing the integration of acquired businesses.
  • Identifying and leveraging synergies between acquired companies to maximize operational efficiency and value.
  • Working with other members of senior management to present to C-Suite.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions predominantly on the buy-side within an investment bank.
  • 1-3 years working within a corporate M&A or Corporate Development role.
  • Must have been a part of / had exposure to the entire M&A cycle: PMI experience is a bonus.
  • Previous experience working with Private Equity.
  • Proficient analytical and financial modelling skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, and a personable character.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have experience working on deals in the mid-large cap sector, preferably PE, whose foundations are in investment banking and have spent the past 1-3 years working in-house.
