A highly acquisitive tech driven business services company requires an M&A Director to lead all uk based M&A activity. 

Inheriting and established and high calibre team, this individual will be expected to further grow the team and drive activity from origination to integration to ensure growth targets are met. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Continual refinement of the UK M&A strategy to ensure it is fit for purpose as the business continues to scale and evolve 
  • Working with an experienced team to drive origination efforts 
  • Regularly meeting with potential targets to build your network 
  • Leading on vendor negotiations 
  • Management of the pricing and valuation of deals 
  • Structuring deals which incentivise and benefit all parties 
  • Preparing detailed business plans and forecasts for targets 
  • Management of DD workstreams (significant volume of FDD is handled in house)
  • Execution and overseeing post completion accounting duties 
  • Integration planning 
  • When time allows, working with acquired business to drive value creation activities 
  • Providing regular reports and analysis on M&A activity  

Candidate Requirements

  • An experienced senior level M&A / Corporate Development professional 
  • Prior buy-side experience from the technology or software sectors 
  • Proven ability to develop and grow teams 
  • A willingness to help drive origination activities 
  • Proven ability to manage all aspects of the deal cycle independently 
  • A track record in delivering value creative acquisitions 
  • Clear, consistent, and confident communicator, with an ability to influence and get the best out of people  
  • No ego, with a willingness to be hands on with all aspects of deal making (even the boring bits!)
