A leading PE backed professional services business requires an experienced M&A integration Director to refine the integration playbook, and to help drive synergies post-acquisition.

Duties to include:

  • Working with the Head of M&A and COO to refine and clearly communicate the integration playbook/strategy
  • Ensure close collaboration with the Head of M&A / wider M&A team to begin integration planning/preparation pre-deal
  • Support the M&A team with due diligence of targets and to highlight potential integration issues and synergies early in the acquisition process
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure efficient integration and realisation of synergies (for both recent and historical acquisitions)
  • Work with department heads and founders of acquired businesses to drive synergy and value creation (cost and revenue)
  • Put in place the foundations to allow for larger scale acquisitions and synergy realisation longer term
  • Ensure a feedback loop to the M&A team to develop future DD and approach to acquisitions
  • Chair integration SteerCo and all related project meetings
  • Develop effective reporting to track projects against KPIs and to inform key stakeholders of milestones
  • Proactively resolve any integration roadblocks and issues
  • Engage with the business to discover new opportunities for synergy realisation & cost optimisation
  • Work with technology teams to aid in the development of cross-departmental enhancements/efficiencies
  • Support the COO in a range of activities and projects

Candidate skillset:

  • An experienced integration leader
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to engage with a wide audience and drive geographically dispersed project teams
  • The ability to implement project reporting and KPIs
  • Proven ability to drive both cost and revenue focussed synergies and value creation
  • Likely from a professional services or consulting background originally
  • Positive outlook and highly energetic personality
