We are pleased to share that Finatal is currently exclusively mandated on an M&A Manager role for a Private Equity backed professional services business. Based in central London, the firm is looking to hire a few individuals to support a lean team of 4 in their ongoing buy-and-build strategy. They have undertaken 6 acquisitions in the past year and are looking to continue at a similar pace for approximately another five years. The deals tend to sit in the mid to large cap size, so their ideal candidates will have begun their career in a blue-chip investment bank, or a leading advisory firm, having had crucial experience working on Large Cap transactions. Further, the individual must have spent anywhere between 1-4 years in-house, executing buy side M&A transactions for a Private Equity backed portfolio company. However, previous sector experience is not a prerequisite. This is a fantastic opportunity to add value to a rapidly expanding firm, as well as have hands-on exposure to a variety of transactions, and to touch on PMI Value Creation pieces. This candidate must have a personable and can-do demeanour, and a capacity to communicate with individuals at any level.
Responsibilities:
- Support the team in establishing the full M&A cycle.
- Work alongside the team to establish potential acquisition targets.
- Coordinate the Financial Due Diligence processes.
- Build financial models.
- Assist in the drafting and negotiations of SPA’s.
- Evaluating synergies and helping to establish an integration plan.
Qualifications:
- The range of experience they will consider can fall between 3-10 years in M&A, preferably having managed a team in an Investment Bank or a Big-Four Advisory Firm.
- Some in-house buyside experience.
- Financial Due Diligence experience.
- Exposure to Private Equity in any capacity.
- Any work in similar industries (Financial Services, Insurance, Wealth Management, etc) is a bonus, but not a prerequisite.
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
- Interest in working in a fast-paced and highly acquisitive firm.
- Previous experience working with senior stakeholders is a bonus.
- Approaches their work pragmatically.
