Finatal is excited to partner with a highly acquisitive, private equity-backed services business in their search for an M&A Manager to join their London office.
The company has experienced remarkable growth over the past 12 months and is looking to continue its expansion, with the potential to double EBITDA given its robust acquisition pipeline.
This is an integral role to ensuring the business achieves its ambitious growth agenda, suiting a switched-on and driven individual. You will report directly to the CFO and work closely with investors daily. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to progress quickly, with the chance to shadow and learn from senior leaders, whilst taking on significant responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage inbound acquisition opportunities, ensuring timely evaluation and decisions on advancing to further due diligence in line with acquisition criteria.
- Set up Financial Due Diligence (FDD) and Legal Due Diligence (LDD), review data rooms, and ensure alignment with the investment thesis.
- Oversee the whole due diligence process, coordinating with relevant stakeholders and managing follow-up Q&As to ensure thorough evaluation.
- Collate findings by drawing together investment committee papers to understand the rationale behind key decisions.
- Transfer key responsibilities upon signing of the Head of Terms, while shadowing stakeholders and gradually transitioning into full ownership of the role.
Requirements:
- Prior experience of working on / advising on deals in the lower-mid or mid-market.
- ACA / ACCA / CA qualification or prior in-house M&A experience.
- High EQ and interpersonal skills to build relationships with vendors, as well as a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- The financial and commercial acumen to assess the strategic fit of acquisitions.
- Professional services deals experience advantageous – Not essential.
