A highly acquisitive software business requires an additional M&A Origination professional to help drive the international pipeline and achieve their ambitious growth plans. 

Acquiring profitable, high-growth B2B software businesses with high customer retention levels, this exciting role has an international outlook and will genuinely help to shape the success of the business.  

The business operates a largely remote working policy so candidates can be based anywhere in Europe. It is essential however that you are willing to travel across Europe to meet with targets and to attend M&A team meetings.  

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of M&A and CEO with origination activities.
  • Proactively market map and identify high performing software businesses which fit the companies M&A strategy.
  • Consistently reach out to potential targets to build relationships and to undertake detailed DD.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with brokers, potential acquisition targets and industry contacts.
  • Fully evaluate potential targets to asses strategic fit.
  • Undertake detailed commercial due diligence into targets and prepare reports for submission to the Board and IC.
  • Undertake regular financial modelling.
  • Assist in valuations and pricing activities.
  • Assist/lead in negotiating and creating the terms for a LOI.
  • Assist the Head of M&A and wider M&A team with various execution activities.
  • Provide regular reports and analysis on deal pipeline and key metrics.
  • All other duties as required to support successful M&A activity.

Experience:

  • Significant prior experience of sourcing acquisitions.
  • Proven ability to source high quality, off market opportunities.
  • Prior experience from the software or technology sectors a distinct advantage. 
  • A positive and energetic personality.
  • The EQ to build relationships with a wide range of founders / senior management teams.
  • Proven ability to conduct initial due diligence on potential targets.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
  • Fluency in an additional European language would be of great benefit.
