Position Overview
Finatal is seeking a motivated and results-driven Origination Associate to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities across various sectors, helping to drive the continued growth of our portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Deal Sourcing: Identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities through market research, networking, and leveraging industry connections.
Pipeline Management: Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads and prospective investment opportunities.
Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of industry trends, competitive landscapes, and target companies to identify attractive investment opportunities.
Relationship Building: Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including entrepreneurs, advisors, bankers, and other intermediaries, to enhance deal flow.
Screening and Evaluation: Work closely with the investment team to assess the suitability of opportunities, including initial financial analysis and risk evaluation.
Collaboration: Partner with the internal investment team to ensure smooth handover and transition of deals from origination to execution.
Reporting: Regularly update senior management on origination activities, market trends, and performance metrics.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience: 2-6 years of relevant experience in deal origination within a banking or Big Four environment, with a strong track record of success.
Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyse financial and market data to identify high-potential opportunities.
Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and sustain relationships across various stakeholders.
Commercial Acumen: A deep understanding of private equity, M&A, and the growth capital landscape.
Proactive Attitude: Self-starter with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving growth and success.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field. MBA or CFA qualification is a plus.
