This opportunity is with a group of three companies currently operating independently in the B2C, retail manufacturing, and premium bedding industries across various regions including Berlin, Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands. The company is embarking on a strategic transformation program to integrate operations, create synergies, and drive value creation across the brands. This role will be central to supporting and coordinating the overall transformation efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead PMO Transformation:
- Manage and coordinate the overall transformation programme to unify the three distinct businesses (B2C, retail manufacturing, and premium bedding) into a more integrated entity.
- Oversee the delivery of initiatives across the operations, sales, service functions (finance, HR, IT) and drive value creation by identifying potential synergies and collaborative opportunities.
- Ensure alignment between different brands, channels, and customer bases to optimize operational efficiency.
Cross-functional Coordination:
- Work closely with various teams across operations, management, and support functions to ensure smooth integration and execution of strategic objectives.
- Act as the key liaison between daily operations and the management team, connecting the dots and challenging teams where necessary to meet transformation goals.
- Develop and maintain KPIs to track progress and ensure that all teams are on course to meet the transformation targets.
Strategic Problem Solving:
- Not just a support function, but take an active role in identifying issues, proposing solutions, and further developing initiatives that drive the transformation program forward.
- Provide critical insights into how different departments and brands can collaborate more effectively, bringing forward innovative approaches to tackle operational and strategic challenges.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Maintain strong communication with stakeholders across all companies and departments, ensuring they are aware of progress, challenges, and potential solutions.
- Support the Head of M&A in transitioning to a more integrated operating model, especially in a slowing consumer market.
- Main point of contact between the Private Equity investors and portfolio company.
- On-the-Ground Presence:
- Be physically present in Berlin for a significant portion of the week (3-4 days), with occasional travel to other company sites in Germany and Belgium as needed to facilitate seamless communication and program management.
