Finatal is currently engaged with a fast-growing mid-market Private Equity fund that currently has over £500 million in assets under management and specialises in mid-market first-time investments across the healthcare, financial services, industrial, and consumer industries. Over the last year, they have doubled in size and are now searching for a commercial Insights and Analytics Lead at the fund level. In this new role, you will be working closely with the management teams across the portfolio and Investors and deal teams at the fund to deliver quantitative analysis and strategic insight to evaluate data within value-creation strategies.
Role:
- Conducting complex data analysis to interpret and present insights to management boards of portfolio businesses and back to investors at the Fund, telling a story through impactful visualisation within Power BI and Python.
- Provide independent insight and analysis based on operational and commercial opportunities to enhance business processes and reporting capability at each portfolio company.
- Collaborating and communicating in a consultative manner with clients and stakeholders using strong problem-solving skills.
- Reporting to the Portfolio Partner you will be working cross-functionally with all levels of stakeholders, using your commercial and consultative skill set you will accelerate value creation strategies.
- Developing and building impactful automated reports and dashboards to visualise data insights for different teams including finance, sales, marketing, and operations.
Requirements:
- A strong track record in commercial insights and analytics roles, with experience in data manipulation, interpretation, statistical analysis and problem-solving.
- Background in strategic consulting or client-facing roles centred around commercial analytics with excellent communication skills, having worked with c-suite executives.
- Strong track record of data manipulation and ability to scrutinise large complex data sets using a range of analytical tools, identify trends and produce analysis that can inform business intelligence.
- Expert technical skills within Power BI, Alteryx and Python for data manipulation and SQL including writing queries, dynamic reports and dashboards. Libraries such as Pandas is beneficial
- A degree in a related subject (data science, AI, computer science, statistics) would be beneficial.
