Finatal is currently working with a rapidly expanding professional services business in the legal space, after recent private equity investment they are undertaking aggressive buy and build strategy. As they start to integrate, there is a need to centralise and structure data ensuring accuracy and visibility across the acquisitions. Reporting to the Head of FP&A, this role will be critical in connecting disparate financial systems and databases, understanding and addressing data quality issues and building Power BI dashboards to support CFO and CEO. They are looking for a curious individual who has commercial understanding and actively finds solutions to problems within the business, bridging the gap between finance and technology to drive better insights and automation.
Role
- Reporting to the Head of FP&A and working closely with CFO and CEO you will be crucial for business visibility across financial data, especially with newly acquired entities.
- Integrate financial data from multiple acquired businesses, connecting disparate systems.
- You will collaborate with both IT and Finance to assess data quality extracting transforming and connecting data bases readying it for analysis as the business continues to rapidly expands.
- Utilising SQL and ETL skills you will develop commercial reports to provide clear insights for leadership, automating for efficiency gains.
Requirements
- Strong experience in a Power BI developer or BI Analyst position, with end-to-end experience leading cleaning data (ETL/ELT) and connecting databases for visualisation.
- Experience integrating and structuring messy data from multiple disparate sources.
- Experience building clear and insightful dashboards in Power BI, presenting to stakeholders, and building solutions to complex business problems.
- Exposure to working in a finance or FP&A teams or specifically on finance data collaborating with senior leadership understanding financial reporting needs.
