Finatal is pleased to be working with a tech-enabled industrials business that has recently secured backing from a leading upper mid-mid-market private equity fund. Embarking on a dynamic acquisition strategy, the company is poised for significant growth and is actively seeking a Senior M&A Associate to drive full-cycle deal execution.

This opportunity will suit a driven professional who has managed the entire M&A lifecycle – from initial sourcing and evaluation through due diligence, negotiation, and integration. While prior experience within industrials is a plus, it’s not a strict requirement; the key is a proven track record of successfully delivering complex transactions in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage full-cycle M&A initiatives, from deal origination and opportunity assessment to closing and post-merger integration.

• Conduct in-depth financial and commercial analyses to evaluate potential targets, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

• Coordinate comprehensive due diligence processes, engaging effectively with legal, financial, and commercial advisors.

• Prepare and present investment committee materials that clearly articulate the strategic rationale and potential value creation opportunities for prospective deals.

• Build rapport and maintain relationships with founders, target management teams, and other key stakeholders to facilitate smooth negotiations and integration.

• Collaborate closely with internal leadership and external advisors to drive timely decision-making and mitigate transaction risks.

Requirements:

• Proven end-to-end M&A experience, whether from an in-house corporate development team, private equity, investment banking, or another advisory background.

• Strong financial, analytical, and commercial acumen, with the ability to rapidly synthesize complex information.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of earning trust and credibility with founders, executives, and investors.

• Comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

• Exposure to industrials or tech-enabled sectors is advantageous, but not essential.

If you are looking for a role that offers substantial responsibility and the chance to shape outcomes at a highly ambitious, PE-backed business, this could be the ideal next step in your career.
