About the Role
Finatal is seeking an experienced Snowflake Expert to guide the strategic development of Snowflake as part of a broader transformation initiative. We are a PE backed Software Development company working towards establishing a single source of truth for its data, with Snowflake serving as the cornerstone of this strategy.
This role will involve a combination of high-level strategic assessment and hands-on implementation. You will review the current state of Snowflake usage, recommend necessary changes, and develop a clear strategy to optimize its use within the organization. If you can also deliver on implementation tasks, this will be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Review:
- Assess the current Snowflake setup and usage within the organization.
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, or areas for improvement in alignment with the goal of creating a single source of truth.
- Provide actionable recommendations to optimize Snowflake’s performance and usability.
Strategy Development:
- Define a clear roadmap for leveraging Snowflake to its full potential.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align the Snowflake strategy with broader business objectives.
Implementation (if applicable):
- Execute key implementation tasks, including system configurations, integrations, and data migrations.
- Ensure best practices are followed during implementation to establish a scalable and robust data architecture.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Partner with technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on strategy and execution.
- Provide regular updates and documentation to stakeholders on progress and outcomes.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Technical Expertise:
- Deep knowledge of Snowflake and its ecosystem, including advanced configuration and optimization.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable data architectures using Snowflake.
- Familiarity with data integration tools and ETL/ELT pipelines.
Strategic Thinking:
- Experience conducting strategic reviews of data systems and delivering actionable recommendations.
- Ability to align technical strategies with business goals and priorities.
Implementation Skills (Preferred):
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake implementation, including migrations and system setup.
- Ability to execute end-to-end implementation projects efficiently.
Communication & Stakeholder Management:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to clearly articulate complex concepts and strategies to diverse audiences.
