The Role:

- Work with finance operations to have oversight of VAT, Global Sales Tax and withholding tax. This requires preparation of returns and in some cases review of returns prepared by team members and external advisors.
- Collaborate with the finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate tax provision calculations, tax-related financial disclosures, and compliance with tax reporting requirements under IFRS.
- Identify and mitigate tax-related risks by implementing effective internal controls, tax planning strategies, and compliance procedures. Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company’s tax position and overall risk profile. Help to develop, formalise and execute well controlled tax and tax compliance processes within the business.
- Manage transfer pricing policies and documentation, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain arm’s length pricing for intercompany transactions.
- Liaise with the game development teams closely to be a good tax business partner and identify where opportunities and risks exist.
- Represent the company in tax audits, inquiries, and disputes with tax authorities. Prepare and review responses to tax notices and coordinate with external tax advisors and legal counsel as necessary.
