As Team Lead Controlling, you will be responsible for managing and further developing the controlling function within the German market. Leading a team of Controllers, you will ensure effective budget management and act as a sparring partner to senior management and key departments.

This role requires a strong balance of strategic leadership and hands-on execution. In addition to financial planning and performance monitoring, you will actively contribute to process optimisation to ensure long-term efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach the Controlling team with a focus on continuous development and process harmonisation
  • Ownership of budgeting, reporting, and financial analysis (Opex, Capex, Revenue)
  • Prepare, present, and manage the budgeting processes (e.g., Q1 RF, Q2 RF, Q3 RF)
  • Ensure adherence to financial targets, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions
  • Create statutory and ad-hoc reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Support operational departments and group-level functions as a business partner, providing tools, methods, and processes
  • Identify levers to improve financial performance and operational efficiency
  • Develop and evaluate business cases for new projects and present them in decision-making forums
  • Collaborate closely with leadership across SCM, HR, Legal, and Commercial departments

Your Profile

  • Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Controlling, or a comparable qualification
  • At least 5 years of professional experience, ideally in Telecommunications, Construction, Real Estate, Energy, or Infrastructure
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in process management
  • Solid knowledge of budgeting, reporting, and performance analysis
  • Proven leadership experience within a matrix organisation
  • Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken
